Your Friendliness Score is 70 (Friendly)
|

No doubt about it, you are a good friend and a friend to many.
You’re one of the first people your friends call when they have news.
You are quite popular, and your circle of friends is always growing.
And while you are always making new friends, you are careful not to leave your old friends behind.
While you are a great friend, you’re not perfect. Sometimes you slip a little.
Make sure to listen to your friends and make time for them. Occasionally they feel a little neglected.

What happens if a presidential candidate passes away at the last second?
Each party has its own protocol for this scenario, but in neither case does the running mate automatically take over the ticket. (Congress could also pass a special statute and push back Election Day, giving the dead candidate’s party time to regroup.)
If John McCain were to die before the election, the rules of the Republican Party authorize the Republican National Committee to fill the vacancy, either by reconvening a national convention or by having RNC state representatives vote. The new nominee must receive a majority vote to officially become the party candidate.
If Barack Obama were to die before the election, the Democratic Party’s charter and bylaws state that responsibility for filling that vacancy would fall to the Democratic National Committee, but the rules do not specify how exactly the DNC would go about doing that.
And then there’s answers to all sorts of other scenarios such as death after the election but before the inauguration.

All words are good words. Some, however, are overused without adding value to what you write. As a result, they reduce the readers’ interest, make text seem redundant, and cause the writer to appear amateurish.
We have created a list of 10 overused words, based on the documents we have edited over the last 5 years. We don’t recommend that you remove these words from your writing. Instead, we recommend that you become aware of how often you use them and that you revise your documents to limit their use.

MONROE, Wash. – In a move that could be right out of a Hollywood movie, a brazen crook apparently used a Craigslist ad to hire a dozen unsuspecting decoys to help him make his getaway following a robbery outside a bank on Tuesday. He then made his escape in an inner tube on the Skykomish River.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – It wasn’t just the caffeine that gave an eastern Iowa woman an extra jolt when she had her morning cup of coffee.
It was the bat she found in the coffee filter.
Officials with the Iowa Department of Public Health say the woman reported seeing a bat in her house but wasn’t overly worried about it. They say she turned on her automatic coffee maker before she went to bed and had her coffee the next morning.
They say she discovered the bat in the filter in the coffee maker when she went to clean it out that night.
Officials say the woman, who wasn’t identified, underwent treatment for rabies.
They say the bat was sent to a state lab for testing but its brain was too cooked by the heat of the brewing water to determine if it had rabies.

I was verbally assaulted recently after worship. That sounds dramatic, but I don’t know any other words to describe it. I was the target of 15 minutes of verbal abuse in the guise of a theological critique of my sermon.
A family of first-time guests, a mom and her six kids in their teens and 20s, came up to me in the line after the service, near the back of the church. There were a dozen or so people in line behind them.
We shook hands and they told me their names, and I introduced myself and told them how good it was to have them here in worship. It kind of went downhill from there.
“Is this a Bible-believing church?†she asked next.
