Pen and Paper

Here’s an interesting photo I received in an email [Thanks, Carl!], you can see a larger version here.

I find it interesting that not only everyone except for the person circled in this University of Missouri classroom has a laptop, but every laptop is a Mac.  I can only imagine how hard it must be for a student to pay attention to a lecture when the World Wide Web is available to his or her fingertips.

Laptops aren’t often used in the college courses that I teach, but when I do see them open, the class size and room is small enough for me to walk around.

Actually there is one ACER laptop in the bunch, too. 4th row up, second seat, girl sitting next to a guy with a red shirt on. Go ACER!

    Reminds me of ‘The Office.’

Remember? Michael is speaking to a college class, and says “Paper is the Future” and then you hear hundreds of key strokes…

heh.. this picture felt like a “where’s waldo” game.
I’ve found about 3 other people without laptops.

I’m convinced this had to be a graphic design class with so many macs.
