I love getting feedback from my readers, and as of late, turns out many of you out there aren’t big fans of me switching from Blogger to Wordpress.
I kept running into too many problems with Blogger and just got frustrated, and my template was also pretty generic and I wanted to be a little more unique. In other words, I’m sticking with Wordpress.
But now is the time to sound off. Tell me what you want. Tell me your likes or dislikes with this current theme. Please be specific.Â

One thing I really like about Texas as I drive through the counties are all the different looking courthouses.
Here is a website that has a picture of every Texas courthouse. And here is another website that is very similar.
This is the Parker County courthouse in Weatherford:
And this is Denton County’s courthouse.
Ellis County

Tarrant County

PORT ST. LUCIE — He struck his 12-year-old daughter with belts because she lied, because her homework was incomplete and because “it is stated in the Bible that it is OK to spank your children,” the father told police. The girl said she was beaten for not reading well enough, for using slang, and for “not accepting Jesus into her heart,” police reported.
After the statements, police over the weekend arrested Michael C. Bilodeau, 48, of Coral Springs, on felony charges of aggravated child abuse and neglect of a child.
Bilodeau allegedly admitted he “spanked” the girl a few days earlier. He had her undress and lean across a bed, then “struck her several times with a belt,” according to police.
“She needs some discipline,” Bilodeau allegedly told police.
When asked why he ordered the girl to take off her clothes before striking her, Bilodeau allegedly replied that “he wants her to feel the pain,” police reported.

In an era when conservative Christians enjoy access and influence throughout the federal government, the organization that fueled their rise has fallen on hard times.
The once-mighty Christian Coalition, founded 17 years ago by the Rev. Pat Robertson as the political fundraising and lobbying engine of the Christian right, is more than $2 million in debt, beset by creditors’ lawsuits and struggling to hold on to some of its state chapters.

ALBUQUERQUE, April 10 — Years before Vice President Cheney accidentally shot a lawyer during a Texas quail hunt, Cheney himself was on the receiving end of an errant shotgun blast.
Carlsbad Mayor Bob Forrest said he does not know for certain whether he or his twin brother, Dick, fired the shot during the hunting trip in the late 1990s. It accidentally pelted Cheney, who was then chief executive at Halliburton Co.
Cheney was not hurt, but he was miffed, Forrest told the Journal.
“He said, ‘You guys watch where you’re shooting!’ He was very offended,” Forrest said.
