Any sex offenders in your neck of the woods?

I did a search using my state and zip code and found wayyyyyy too many in my area.
Speaking of searching using state and zip, why is on most websites when you enter a zip and perform a search, you also have to enter the state? Shouldn’t the zip code be enough?
The same thing happend to me when I was looking for a WAMU branch:

The Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 500 man elite fighting unit called the US REDNECK SPECIAL FORCES (USRSF).
These Louisiana boys will be dropped into Iraq and will be given the following facts about Terrorists:
1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken.
4. They don’t like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
5. They are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the death of Dale Earnhardt.This mess in Iraq should be over IN A WEEK !
In case anyone remembers reading Beowulf in high school . . .
Angelina Jolie will star as the Queen of Darkness in director Robert Zemeckis’ big screen adaptation of “Beowulf.”Ray Winstone will play Beowulf and Crispin Glover will be the monster Grendel in the epic, which will be put together with the same performance-capture technology Zemeckis used in “The Polar Express,” the Hollywood Reporter said.
The cast also includes Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn and John Malkovich.
“Beowulf” is scheduled for a 2007 release.
